Detrick Dixon
Secretary

Detrick Dixon, a proud U.S. Air Force veteran, has 12 years of military service with Security Forces and counting, with his last 2 years to the present currently serving with the Air National Guard. He has completed his B.A. in Criminal Justice, with a minor in Sociology from the University of South Alabama.
While balancing his Military Squad Leader duties and family life, Detrick also is a Regional Security Manager in the Industrial Security Sector on the civilian side. “Throughout my military and civilian roles I’ve served or worked with several veterans who shared their stories with me about their transitions when it comes to separating from the military.” Being on the Board of Directors for the Heroes-Initiative will now allow Detrick to help others ease the transition from a military lifestyle to adapting back into a civilian life within today’s society and workforce.
A strong advocate for action and accountability, Detrick lives by the motto: “Actions speak louder than words.” Through his work, he is committed to empowering veterans to pursue their education and leadership goals—proving that dedication and hard work always pay off.
